Intellilink 4.0 car stereo upgrade

Upgrading the factory IntelliLink 4.0 system on a Zafira Tourer to a new upgraded car stereo is not an easy task for a car audio novice. We would highly recommend using an experienced car audio installer or technician. 

Our installation team began by removing the original radio and doing some significant modification/ cutting behind the vehicles dashboard. The original radio bracket required extensive modification and the bottom support in the radio aperture may need removing depending on the type of head unit you are fitting.

Next the installation team stripped down the old IntelliLink 4 radio so they could retain the factory buttons. They also used a round bung to blank the old volume control.

To make the new radio look as flush as possible, we used a sheet of Black ABS panel (50-060) to blank the rest of the radio hole.

Finally we installed a Pioneer EVO950 in place of the factory radio, when combined with the car stereo infoadapter (29-CTUVX04) this meant we were able to retain not just the factory steering wheel controls but also the reversing sensor chimes and visual parking display.
