Complete fitting kit to install a Single or Double DIN aftermarket car stereo and retain the original steering wheel controls in Jaguar S-Type (2002-2008) and X-Type (2001-2010) car models.
This head unit fitting kit includes:
Phantom powered Fakra to DIN aerial adapter cable (21-123)
This cable converts the original antenna connector in the car, known as a Fakra connector, to a standard aftermarket antenna connector, known as a DIN connector. The adapter cable has a built in module which provides a phantom power feed to the original antenna in the car. A phantom power feed is a 12v power supply that is sent up the centre wire of the antenna cable, this powers the amplifier built into the original antenna. The antenna adapter cable has a loose wire which needs to be connected to the 12v antenna power output of the new aftermarket stereo.
29-Series Steering control interface (29-664)
Steering wheel control interface and adapter cable for S/X Type Jaguar cars to fit an aftermarket radio upgrade. The cable adapts from the original connectors in the car to standard ISO aftermarket ISO connectors. This replaces the need for a separate ISO radio replacement adapter cable. This interface will allow the original audio control buttons on the steering wheel to work with the new aftermarket radio. Also provides power and speaker connections from the car.
Suitable for Jaguar Jaguar S type and X type models with standard audio system.
PLEASE NOTE: This interface will also work the steering wheel controls on amplified cars but will not control the audio. A separate bypass cable is needed for the amplifier.
29-Series universal patch lead (29-025)
Universal patch lead to be used with In car Tec 29- series steering wheel control interfaces. This cable plugs into the 29-Series control box and connects to the 3.5mm socket or single wire on the back of the new head-unit.
Suitable for Use with Alpine, Clarion, JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer, Sony, Zenec, Philips, Dynavin and non branded Chinese head units.
Single/Double DIN fascia with removable pocket (50-263)
Replacement car audio fascia to enable you to change the original radio in the car to a single and double DIN aftermarket version
