Complete stereo upgrade fitting kit to install a Double DIN aftermarket car stereo head unit and retain the use of the factory steering wheel audio controls in select Subaru Forester (2015 - 2018) car models.
This complete head unit fitting kit includes:
Antenna adapter (21-147)
Male DIN antenna adapter cable. This cable adapts from the 2015 onwards style Subaru antenna connection at the back of the cars original radio to a standard aftermarket male DIN antenna connection to allow the fitting of an aftermarket radio upgrade. The antenna connector is rectangular with a round antenna terminal inside. The antenna adapter has a loose blue wire, this needs to be connected to the antenna turn on output on the new stereo. This will turn on the original antenna amplifier in the car (If required)
Steering wheel control interface (29-709)
Steering wheel control interface and adapter cable for Subaru Forester car models to fit an aftermarket radio upgrade. The cable adapts from the original Subaru connectors in the car to standard aftermarket ISO connectors. This replaces the need for a separate ISO radio replacement adapter cable.
This interface will allow the original audio control buttons on the steering wheel to work with the new aftermarket radio. This interface will work the volume, track skip, source and telephone buttons.
Steering control interface universal patch lead (29-025)
Universal patch lead to be used with In car Tec 29- series steering wheel control interfaces. This cable plugs into the ICT control box and connects to the 3.5mm socket or single wire on the back of the new head-unit.
This item has loose wires and leads so it can be configured to suit the brand of radio being fitted.
Double DIN Fascia adapter panel (50-908)
Replacement car audio fascia to enable you to change the original radio in the car to a Double DIN aftermarket version
This fascia includes side fixing brackets so no fitting cage is required
